Boston Arrives To "El Choliseo" August 31

As part of their "2008 Greatest Hits Tour", Boston will be arriving at "El Choliseo" venue on Sunday, August 31 to perform their greatest hits, making it the last leg of the tour.

This time, Boston comes with a new lead singer, Tommy DeCarlo, who was chosen by Tom Sholz via MySpace. The current line-up includes Sholz, Gary Pihl, Jeff Neal, Michael Sweet, and Kimberly Damhe.

DeCarlo, a former credit manager for Home Depot in North Carolina, posted videos of his "karaoke" performance. "My wife was at her computer playing our tunes, and I asked whether it was us playing live," Scholz told USA Today. "She said, 'It's some guy in North Carolina singing your songs.' I said, 'I know Brad's voice, and that's Brad.'"

It was a friend of De Carlo who suggested to post some of the recordings he did to a page he created on MySpace honoring the legendary band. Little did he know that Scholz would give him the job after Brad Delp's tragic suicide in 2007.

However, it looks like the beginning of a new way for singers and musicians to audition via web sources such as MySpace, saving traveling cost while keeping their "day" job.

As the first female member of Boston, Kimberley Damhe is an accomplished musician in her own right. She was approached by Schulz and Pihl while they were in the task of looking for a new drummer. "I was in the right place at the right time. I was playing in another band when they happened to see me onstage. I was playing electric guitar and singing in a band. Tom approached me after the show and asked me if I could play bass. I told him that I could learn! I immediately went back to Nashville and bought a bass, and called their offices and begged for an audition. I ended up getting the part," said Kimberly on Boston's official website.

Boston will be performing their legendary hits such as: "More Than A Feeling", "Foreplay/Long Time", "Amanda", "Don't Look Back", "Peace Of Mind", "Used To Bad News", "Rock and Roll Band", "Party", and others.

So far, many highly recommend to attend this concert. Is one will bring back memories of a time when Rock ruled the world.  It is amazing that after 30 years, More Than A Feeling is the most endurable tune of the 70's.
