Will Macca Get The Grammy?
Paul McCartney is up again for a Grammy for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance [Helter Skelter from "Good Evening New York City"]. The last time Macca got a nomination was for the same category with "I Saw Her Standing There" from Amoeba's Secret back in 2009.
Regardless that the live album had its release in 2009, it would not qualify for Grammy nominations in 2010. The prestigious organization indicates that a musical project must be released between September and August of the following year; therefore, the "Macca" had to wait until he got his for a year an a half.
In the meantime, this Legendary Artist spent his time sharing his music for the past two years. With "Good Evening" and "Up and Coming" tour series, McCartney and his band brought music to cities they never performed before like Miami, San Juan, and Buenos Aires.
Will Macca become a recipient? It all depends of the outcome or how the board will vote. Macca has strong contenders like Eric Clapton, Neil Young, John Mayer, and Robert Plant. Mayer took the award two years ago.
What will happen? Will John Mayer take another Grammy from Macca? Will Eric Clapton take it and surprises us? We'll have to tune in on February 13 to find out.
Meanwhile, I'll light white candles for Paul to win :D
