Welcome to H.A.P.P.Y. Radio!
This page is dedicated to music and how it plays as the soundtrack of your life.
Music plays a big role in my life. I cannot go a day without listening a note or a tune, especially when a melody stays in your celebral cells and you have no other choice but to download it. Today it was no exception.
As I drove back from work, my mind was setting the goal for the evening...find the album Voyage [Marlin Records, 1977, category Disco] on mp3. As I searched, other songs popped out on the screen. I Love America by Patrick Juvet, Boogie Motion by Beautiful Bend were disco songs that I enjoyed so much listening and dancing to. For some reason they were in my subconscious mind, and decided to add those to my collection of over 300 disco songs stored in my computer.
Actually, it is convenient to carry disco music in your Ipod for emergencies. That emergency happened last March when I attended a barbeque. There were over 30 guests from my old high school, longing to listen some disco music, and dance. Believe me, not only I managed to connect my Ipod to the stereo system, it continued playing for the rest of the afternoon and most of the evening.
Anyway, tonight I was still searching the Voyage album through Googleland. Then, I remembered that our colleague Echoes In The Wind posted a blog regarding Assembled Multitude, a band that released instrumental versions of hit songs such as "Overture for Tommy". I was lucky enough to save his page in my list of favorites. As I seached for a sign, I found myself reading all the blogs Echoes published this year. I enjoyed reading them so much, that I decided to open a page myself. I do love to share music with others, as well as ideas and other things that comes to my mind. Of course, I'll blog some other topics related to music....there will be a variety.
Now, for the important note: I am not a writer, but I can come out with a mean press release. So bare with me while I get the hang of writing on a daily basis.
By the way, I do not listen to Disco all the time. I do say that I am an eclectic person. I listen to all genres: jazz, rock, motown, classical, etc. But my favorite genre is rock. I love classic rock, progressive rock, glam rock, you name it [as long as it's good].
So, again, welcome.....enjoy. La vita es bella!!!
