The Great Songs of Christmas - Volume 6
Christmas Season is virtually here. Is time to decorate the house, cook, receive guests, and listen to the fabulous sounds of the Joyous Holidays.
It was almost two years ago when, after years of searching a digital version of my favorite album, became a reality. Not only that I found "The Joyous Songs of Christmas Volume 6", but the whole collection. Goodyear released a total of 14 Christmas albums between 1960 and 1974. But this one, in particular, has a very special meaning in my life. In fact, Christmas without the "Goodyear" Holiday albums is just...not Christmas.
I grew up in Puerto Rico, where the Holiday Season is always warm, with temperatures ranging between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. And while most of the Puertorican population listened to typical Puerto Rican Christmas music, I longed for the cold temperature, the snow and hot cocoa that made, for me, the Season warm. Fortunately, my father was a successful factory representative, with many clients including Goodyear. Every Christmas he received many gifts from his clients, but the best came from "the Tire Empire". My Father's professional relationship with Goodyear was exquisite. This alone was more than enough for my Dad to get all of their promotional goods. Their Christmas albums were among them.
I was very lucky, and honored, to listen the greatest music of the Season. Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand, Jan Pierce, Ray Conniff, Bing Crosby, New Christy Minstrels and other artists highlighted these great albums. Many tunes traditional, others more contemporary, but it is the waves of the Holiday spirit that emits from this album.
Therefore, it is with great pleasure to share this with you. I hope you cherish it as much as I do, and share the time of listening to this great album with your family and friends.
As for me, I have to think how I'm going to put the Christmas tree together.
Happy Holidays!

First of all, this is a beautiful blog (I love the design, it always cheers me up - and its so YOU!).
Secondly, I can't wait to hear the show, and I am sooo looking forward to the great variety and diversity you described to me!
BTW, I would like to put up a Xmas tree, this year! I also forgot how to put it together, lol.
Also, the Coquito sounds delish!
